Alain
Rivière works as painter also on portrait. He developps his
research through different kinds of series. He uses mostly black acryl
on watercolour paper, but also chalk on paper or oil on canvas. His
purpose in each painting is to experience what a human face can be.
The
reduction of mouvement, colour and composition represents for him the
possibility to suggest fragments of interior lives. In this context
outside and inside are in mutual pictorial progress.
